DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion) and Employee Retention
Employee satisfaction is closely linked to the experience of the employee at their organization. Organizations that are looking to avoid employee turnover costs can do it by creating a positive working environment and that can be created by committing to Diversity Equity and Inclusion, also known as DEI (Tenney, 2023). DEI means policies and initiatives that support and promote the representation and participation of different groups of individuals regardless of age, race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, or disability (Tenney, 2023). Diversity Diversity means the range of similarities and differences each individual brings to the workplace, including language, race, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and socioeconomic status.
